GPA is based on 10-11th grades. AP/IB and DE courses for OOS are counted for those Honors points. My son’s HS (CA residents) only had 3 UC approved Honors classes that could use for the Honors points: Honors Pre-Calc/Honors Chem and Honors Physics. Yes, there is a slight advantage for in-state applicants with these Honors classes, but the UC’s do consider HS course rigor in the context of your HS.
