At my school, some people who scored in the low 2300’s were seriously considering retaking the test. I’ve noticed that there’s a definite score gap between those ranked in the top 5-7% and those outside of the top 5-7%. I myself got a 2390 (going into it, I knew I could take it again if needed, so I didn’t put a lot of pressure on myself to deliver – that definitely paid off); AFAIK, no one in my class has scored higher.

But do I believe it? Absolutely. My district average is around a 1600 (M+CR+W), and the district was so proud of besting the national average that they published a press release about our superior academic abilities.
