could also have depended on the section you were in
CS50 was divided into sections that fell into 3 comfort categories; if you were in the “more comfortable” section, then the bar for an A would have been higher. The final project would have also been very important for raising students’ grades; not sure if high schoolers taking CS50 submitted one to the fair but the final project could really sway a TF’s impression.</p>
<p>I did relatively well on the final project…that may have swayed my final grade but I’m not sure.</p>
<p>Yea in that case it may be useful to inquire about your grade again…not sure how much that might help but I remember for a couple of classes last year I found out the breakdown of the curve by asking the head TF after we got back from winter break. Maybe you could ask about how they curved your grade. That’s probably another thing to get used to in college: if you want to stay on top of your grades it’s very useful to communicate with TF’s.</p>
