<p>My daughter currently watches two preschoolers for $10.00/hr. She also babysits for another family at $15.00/hr. The current economy has made a difference in what people are paying. There are families that know they could get a good sitter for far less then they did two years ago.</p>
<p>By the way the $10.00 job involves picking kids up at school, bringing them to the park, toileting, and also getting the mom at the train station in the evening with the kids in the car.</p>
<p>Babysitting here is $10 an hour minimum. I get $10 an hour to babysit a pre-teen; teens here charge nearly $15 for very young children or multiples. I would feel shafted if someone only paid me $7 an hour. I live in a working class area. Here, $7.25 is minumum wage.</p>
