<p>The Skidmore campus is very pretty – woodsy with consistent architecture and nice dorms. The town itself is a big summer destination (for racing) and has a lot of arts related activities, restaurants and shops, plus some impressive Victorian architecture. </p>

<p>Academically, I’d put Skidmore on a level with Conn College or Hamilton. Without knowing more about your daughter I couldn’t say whether it would be a safety or a safety/match. As I said, things are really changing in selectivity, especially in the Northeast, so you’d need updated information. </p>

<p>Always good to plan conservatively.</p>

<p>We must be on similar time zones. We seem to be awake at the same time! D takes the SAT I in May and three SAT IIs in June. New SAT wasn’t offered here in Europe in March.</p>
