We visited our New Jersey friends with chickens the other night and My Gosh! Those chickens were a sight to behold – plump and resplendent in richly hued feathers as they sauntered about the lawn. They seemed almost regal! I want chickens!!

Tiramisu for everyone! Correction to that book title, it is Chicken Gardens not Backyard Chicken Gardens. Use your chickens to turn your compost and make sure they have somewhere to take a dust bath.

I’m looking at Dominiques, Chantecleers and Dorkings. Maybe a pet frizzle with backward feathers. Are white chickens that much easier for hawks to spot? Hawks spot agouti mice and rabbits all the time.
