That’s very interesting. I’ve researched this issue because by the end of 1st semester senior year, 1/3 of my daughter’s class has dropped the IB Diploma in favor of certificates. For U.S. students, the condition of admission (at the colleges researched) is that they obtain a high school diploma, and that failing to receive the IB Diploma would not affect their admissions standing. It sounds like there are differences for international students for which I was not aware. Thanks for clarifying.
