FWIW, I give student tours at my exclusive, private school and have since the 7th grade and I am a high school junior, and nobody cares when you tour. I am not sure where this idea comes from but at my school we even soft-reserve spots for qualified students in a niche program, even after the application deadline and spring decisions have been released. I hope the OP didn’t take this comment to heart, a bad tour can ruin someone’s feeling about a school they were excited about and families travel when they can, school’s get defintely that.
