Bannerweb question

Today, people noticed a new paragraph with information regarding classes, tuition, etc. upon entering the bannerweb page. No new tabs appear to have been established. If any reader has new tabs, can you let us know? But then again, what would this knowledge serve? It will not get a student into Richmond. Unfortunately, many of us are frustrated waiting for so long. The entire college process, especially anticipation of acceptance can be aggravating, particularly near the end. Many schools process information prior to deadline they have set, but I think Richmond (and other schools) were blindsided by the sheer volume of this year’s applications. If UR did not anticipate this (and who could) the number of counselors to review the applications was most likely the same as last year. The lesson learned is we, as parents, cannot expect something before it is promised to be delivered, and UR will most likely review their utilization of their admissions blog for next year. They will need to determine how to effectively use it to disseminate information on a more timely fashion for RD’s waiting for an answer.

There are over 1400 views (since this morning) yet only a handful of replies. By the weekend, we will be able to determine if we are correct in interpreting what we see on the bannerweb or fooled by what we have read.

Good luck to everyone during this (final) journey with your student. Yuppittales, you made great points. I hope in fact you are accepted and are looking forward to four great years at UR!
