<p>Thanks for the suggestion - we have discussed that idea. I suspect the gap is too large and that Bard did the best it could to meet need but meets need with a larger percentage of loans than a school like Vassar does. It’s not as though Vassar is a sorry runner up or anything - we will give it a few days to settle but right now he doesn’t want to try to “bargain” with them (not really our family personality type). He knows he can get a great education and have a rich experience at either school. I’m glad to see so many seem to have had their need met at Bard and will be able to go, it strikes me as a special place.</p>
