I totally agree. I feel like the wait right now is the worst part because I know there’s nothing I can do. but you’re so right because all we can do is just know that we’re going to end up at the right place some way or another, but it’s definitely easier said than done oh my god

Thank you, I hope the admissions committee thinks so too lol! Also I’m glad you’re happy with the supplements you wrote, and I feel like when it comes to the personal essay, everyone is their own worst critic and an admissions committee who hasn’t proofread your essay 5 million times will think it’s so much better than you do!

Is it december 15 or 11? It just seems a bit odd, in my opinion, for them to send acceptances on a Wednesday evening. And I heard Dec. 11 is early Ivy day… I am most likely wrong in my Dec. 11 assumption, but does anyone know for sure bc the website says ā€œMid-Decemberā€?

I’m definitely not an expert, but I will say that I’ve heard a lot of people talking about decisions coming out the 15th, and I’m not sure if that’s right. Last year decisions came out the 14th and the college just said ā€˜mid December’ so there’s a chance they could be out any time in the next month, but it’ll probably be somewhere between the 11th and 15th ish, though not necessarily one of those dates exactly. Sorry I can’t say I know with any more specificity!

Has anyone heard yet about admissions trends for Barnard this year? I know a lot of other schools have released how many ED/EA applications they received, but I haven’t found anything for Barnard (quite possibly because they haven’t yet sent out decisions). Does anyone know or is this something we’ll just have to wait for?

I haven’t heard anything about their admission trends for this year yet… they usually post this information after decisions are released. I can’t believe how close we are to hearing back!!! So nervous!!

it’s absolutely wild how close we are – and yet it still feels incredibly far away! Half of me wants to know right this very second and the other half wants to just never open the decision lol

Pls tell me I’m not the only one who uses every chance calculator on the internet to cope with decision date anxiety.

omg no I can definitely relate. And I keep going back to the same websites to recalibrate my chances as if it’s going to change anything? I’m trying to stay calm though (as difficult as it is) because there’s literally no way to change any part of my application now and we get to find out soon which is exciting

any tips on how to deal with decision date anxiety? i could definitely use some

Realize that there is a chance that the decisions are already made and it is out of your hands once you hit submit. You did your best and put yourself out there - be proud of yourself.

If you guys Google Barnard’s common data set, you’ll see that last year of the 1234 people who applied Early, 317 got accepted. That means that Barnard’s ED acceptance rate is approximately 26%. I am so nervous lmao

I’ve been looking too. Nothing I have seen.
