35 ACT, 3.4 GPA at tough school
@gilliangrace I don’t think you can count CC acceptances as representative. Regardless though, historically Barnard has always reserved about 55% of the class for regular decision, recognizing that many students are unable to commit without seeing a firm financial package.
Congratulations to the new Barnard family members, but don’t lose hope for those deferred as my daughter knows classmates who were also deferred and later accepted.
My interviewer was a deferred-then-accepted student as well. It seems to be a pretty common outcome, so don’t lose hope!
My D20 was accepted and is over the moon! 33 ACT, 3.97 UW GPA, varsity soccer, mock trial (lead witness), president of International Club, theater, numerous visual arts awards and activities.
Congratsss to those to got in! My case is a bit weird: after I clicked “view update”, an animation with the message of “congratulations! we’re thrilled that you will be joining us this fall…” appeared but then it was a deferral. Just wondering if anyone is in the same situation or has any ideas of what might’ve happened to me. Thanks!!
