Hi all! @melissahaze @Mangle627 So I submitted my deposit ~12 hours after my decision, and I found it a bit confusing because you have to separately log into the applicant portal again to access the reply form. The link to the admitted students portal is just the portal link + /portal/admitted, and there are a couple of links there where you can update your information for your Barnard credentials, submit your deposit, and reply to your decision.
The deposit is due within a week of receiving your decision (Dec. 8th for the Dec. 1st wave), and while I don’t remember any specific deadline for the reply, I think it’s safe to assume it’s also due Dec. 8th. Based on the hours I spent stalking r/TransferToTop25 and the time I got my decision, it’s likely that they send them out every Friday/every other Friday at around 5pm ET. I think mid-December is when most decisions go out, as I’m pretty active on a few other Barnard transfer forums and have been one of only a handful who’ve received a response.
Congratulations to all who were accepted and best of luck to those of you who haven’t heard back yet-- I thought it was a long shot for me, and I never, ever, expected to get in. I’ve actually been chastising myself for wasting money on the application fee over the past few months! Don’t lose sleep over it, and don’t give up on yourself even if you don’t get the reply you want.
