<p>Here’s hoping it doesn’t last longer – or better yet, doesn’t happen at all. Striking into the opening weekends of school would be particularly horrific.</p>
<p>I would suggest looking into the BayPorter or a similar airport shuttle. They tend to cost $30-50, but if the difference is losing your flight altogether…</p>
<p>The buses will be slammed, so expect delays and lack of seat space, though the SF Chronicle says AC Transit and MUNI are taking precautions to smooth out the normal commute routes. Even if you’re driving, the bridges will be very busy and traffic is almost guaranteed. </p>
