Baseboards- what's in style

I don’t think the type of baseboard will make or break your rental income. Be protective and as low maintenance as you can. Cost effective. Consider hotels- even high end ones are paying attention to that.

PS_ where is the spell check function??? I need it and miss it, spending far too much time correcting my typos.

I don’t have a second home, but I do have a housekeeper. Well, it’s a maid service (my sister called me an elitist when I said that until I told her "no, they are called “The Maids, and it’s written on their van!”).

I would give up a whole heck of a lot of things before I’d give up my every other Monday housekeeping service. The other day, I saw one of them taking a rag to every spindle on my staircase. I would never think to do that until I finally noticed a huge spider web between them.

I don’t mind keeping up with the daily tidying, and my kitchen stays immaculate, but the floors, baseboards, ceiling fans, and bathrooms being taken off my list is something I will cherish until I’m down to my last dollar.

We’ve always called my Dad “Mr. Clean.” He and my stepmom kept their house very tidy all by themselves. But after losing my stepmom a few years ago, he moved to a retirement community that provides weekly maid service. I met his housekeeper and she said she loves my Dad because “there is hardly anything to do!” Still Mr. Clean I guess.

But I’m willing to bet she does dust the baseboards every week!
