Basketball ID camps

Hi @CTDad-classof2022

D3 recruiting is definitely the last to get going. I am no expert but I’ll start you off.

Get game film from any game you can. Make highlights for each season - freshman HS season, spring AAU season, etc.

Spring of sophomore year and heading into national summer tournaments start emailing coaches. D3 coaches are at the national tournaments - send highlights with the intro email and send your daughter’s game schedule for each tournament the week before the tournament. Make sure you are telling your AAU coach which college coach you have emailed and who has emailed you back. D3 coaches can and will email you back your sophomore spring (or before if your kid is having a great season).

Look for any camps the summer after sophomore year. If your daughter has some favorites that she’s leaning to make sure that she goes to that college’s 1/2 day recruiting camp. There are also showcases if you are in the right area, ask your AAU coach about them. Ask for a list of college coaches before you register and pay money for any showcases.
