Just to provide one additional data point, my son who is a senior getting ready to graduate next month, is not an athlete and has really enjoyed the social scene at Bates. While not an athlete, he does love the outdoors - hiking, camping, running, skiing, etc. So, he doesn’t play on any teams, but really enjoys the location and engaging in his love of the outdoors with the very outdoorsy community at Bates.
