BBQ recommendations needed for Texas!

LOL, in my pre-gluten free days, that was the only time I’d eat white bread…with ribs and dill pickle slices.

I have been to most of the Austin area places at one time or another. I great disliked Salt Lick due to the unrequested sauce they put on everything. Mueller’s and any of the Lockhart places are good for real Texas brisket.
For ribs Kansas City is hard to beat.

@Batllo - Forgot the white bread. :o I am getting old.

ButterKrust?

How can Joe T’s be classified as a chain restaurant when there is only one?

Rudy’s in College Station! My husband often drives 45 min out of his way to eat there when he travels. Actually, I just remembered there’s one in Houston now too. Not sure where (I’m not a huge bbq lover), but here’s teh link [Rudy’s “Country Store” and Bar-B-Q | Real Texas Bar-B-Q](http://www.rudys.com) .

I DO love Spring Creek, but that’s just for the awesome rolls!!! The bbq lovers I know don’t consider it very good.
