Yes, a college counselor in my area told me the same - they said their ED 1 pool saw significant growth this year, 2,940 applicants (a 50% increase) but that despite the growth, they elected not to increase the number of offers they will extend during ED. They said they are committed to leaving ample space in the class for students from future rounds. They said they will admit approximately 800 ED 1 applicants (which is basically the same number they did last year during ED1)
