I spent the month of December searching for a new bedspread/comforter. It had to match our paint color and blinds because I didn’t want to re-do the entire room. I purchased it, and told myself that if I ever saw something I really liked, I would buy it and store it.
Guess how long that lasted? A month later I found this gorgeous set at a great price. Now I have to figure out an expanation to give my dear H.
I should probably admit that my bed does have more than its share of decorative pillows, which go on an upholstered bench that is in front of my bed. It’s supposed to be a “put on your shoes bench,” but in reality, it’s a bench which holds decorative pillows when they are not on the bed.
It’s true many people overdo the pillows. But as someone who reads a lot in bed, I use those pillows: two for the back if I’m sitting/reclining, two for upper body if reading on my stomach. DH made fun of the pillows on our bed until he got a kindle and started reading in bed, too. Now he uses them as much as I do.
@katliamom, not only do I have decorative pillows on my bed, I have tons of regular pillows. With my back and neck history, I’ve gotten in the habit of having 1-2 pillows under my head, one between my legs, and one behind me to provide support.
DH laughs at me every night when I get settled in.
