Beer Bike cancelled

Also, I’d like to thank Amistad for changing the thread for me. Had I been back on the computer at all yesterday, I would have done so myself.

Message from the Jones masters:

Dear Jones:

The Baker masters have asked all the colleges
to send a listserv email addressing the various
rumors about the death of Parker Redman.
At this point the cause of death is under
investigation and no official determination
or announcement has been made. Moreover, when
that determination is made it will be up to
the family to decide what may be disclosed to
the public. There are several rumors but none
are based on any facts or official disclosures.

My s. said beerbike has been rescheduled for 2 weeks from now. I am guessing that means the 14th. they are cancelling the parade, but will hold waterballoon fights before the race.

FYI,

^^ What a moving obituary for this young man. It really gives a wonderful sense of what he was like and how terribly he will be missed by his large, loving family. I can’t even imagine their pain.

I choked up reading it - you can just feel how much they miss their son and brother. How tragic… He sounded like such a neat kid.

another rice student was stabbed to dead…

I just want to say that Beer-Bike was awesome today, despite the fact that my college didn’t fare so well…
