Lol… I just say this since my son is heavily into AR/XR on the university level and I learn about all sorts of things you can do through him.
But keep in mind… If you can’t get a single… You can still achieve your goals with a roommate. My sons roommates tend to all have vastly different schedules then his. He doesn’t care about the same things you do but no one was around when he was taking a shower etc. So you might just need to change what you do to make it work. After my daughter’s first year she lived in campus theme housing. 2 different one but she got her own room. When she wanted company she would go to the living room to be with others… Maybe your school has something similar?
