My D was lucky enough to go to a school with warm weather year round, and really used going outside as a time to be alone. Also, most dorms these days have a lounge on each floor. You can’t reserve it to be alone, but many times, they are empty if you just want to be in a space of your own for a while. There will be plenty of little spots on campus, little-known lounges or nooks in the library. You’ll find something!
