@twoinanddone — I don’t want to study in private; I have done homework at Starbucks for years now, so there’s no issue there. Really, all I want is some time to silently contemplate things and recharge. I like meeting people and positively engaging with others, but that can frankly be draining at times. My plan is to have that alone time so that I may be more amicable and involved for the rest of the day. Some people can just keep going incessantly — and good for them — but I’m just not of that type. I prefer some time of reflection and true aloneness, even if it’s just for a little while.
I will definitely do my best to participate in clubs and nurture a closely-knit group of friends. I truly am the happiest around people I can trust and confide in, so that will be a valuable resource for many years to come. I am also excited to join community service and interest clubs on-campus, such as medical volunteer organizations, political groups and literature clubs.
