<p>Ann Arbor is a very liberal (and safe) environment. The main complaints have been around low black enrollment rates and what’s perceived a discriminatory admission process against low socioeconomic status (SES) students. </p>
<p>These are complaints that can be applied to many selective colleges/universities and isn’t unique to Michigan. </p>
