<p>Do distinguish between being nominated for the scholarship, and making semifinalist. 700 students were nominated for the Belk this year. Surely not all 700 get into Davidson. There’s no reason you can’t ask your GC to consider you; but even if you are nominated, that wouldn’t guarantee admission, unless the nomination process were already quite competitive.</p>
