Berkeley for pre-med?

Pre-med classes are generally tough (chem and o-chem, physics, bio, pre-med math, etc.) - at a grade deflating school like Cal, really tough. Med schools are looking primarily at GPA and MCAT scores, and those stats have to be good, regardless of where you go. A good school with a tough grading system cannot make up for that, but doing well there can confirm that you are able to handle the heavy workload of a med student. Conversely, stellar GPA/MCATs at a less rigorous school can open many med school doors. As for the med-school producer applicant stats,I would be curious as to how those med-school applicants fared. There are applications, and then there are admissions.
