First and foremost, the dorm and mandatory meal plan is expensive and unnecessary. If you’re admitted and decide to take the plunge, get working immediately on hooking up with students in a similar boat and find yourself a cheap apt. It won’t be the Ritz and you’ll have roommates, but you’ll save a lot.Boston is full of students who share your financial predicament.Make your own meals. Develop a taste for peanut butter and pasta. Get to Boston early, in the summer when you’re lining up your apt., and get a job, and tell them when your applying that you’ll take part time hours once school starts.
