Yep. Foothill wasn’t one of my 5 choices, but I ended up here anyway. At least I got a double…

DC3 SUCKS!!! i love kenny but still…the food is NASTY! that’s why i look forward to clark kerr dinners…how pathetic is that…haha
seriously, DC3 is not worth $7. something points…

It’s not so bad. I only eat there sometimes with my cousin, but it’s at times pretty good. Like I say, you guys should have seen the food from a few years ago. The alums say it was deadly.

is it true that the units have coed bathrooms?

Sort of. In general, it’s true, but there are floors that are single sex, and there are the mini-suites, which have bathrooms per 4 or 5 people, all of the same sex. So four buildings (each with slightly fewer people than one older building) and two floors or so per old building (I think this many) aren’t. The co-ed floors in the old buildings do.

Foothill isn’t as bad as everyone makes it out to be, and this is comming from someone who lived in clark kerr last year. Speaking of clark kerr, my floor had 23 girls and 9 guys, with one “large” coed bathrooms. If you wanna meet people, you’ll get around to it. And once you do, its just as fun if not more fun.

That gender ratio applied to our floor in Clark Kerr this year, too… haha. I think CKC is probably around the middle when it comes to the social spectrum. It really depends on the people on your floor/in your building. My floor is fairly quiet, but I got to know everyone at least as acquaintances and a few of my floormates are my closest friends here at Cal. The floors underneath and above mine are really social so if I wanted, I would just go there and hang out.

Social experience in dorms are what you make of it, IMO.

And, uh, we really do have the best food. ;)

Word. CKC brunch = orgasm.

Highest quality food, but a small selection. The difference between crossroads and CKC food is often fairly small.

orgasm is the right word to use

I like DC3. Whats not to like about DC3. They have omelettes every weekday until 2! Its delicious. However, if you want fine dining, its all about CKC lunch on weekdays. Fuggin amazing.

Wait, is Clark Kerr available for freshmen? I have seen some of you list it on your lists but some haven’t.

Is Freeborn (the substance-free hall) one of those “shoddy”, run-down dorms?

Freshman do live in Clark Kerr, just not sure how many.

I don’t think it’s shoddy or run-down, but it’s an old-style, as in non-mini-suite style, units-building.
