<p>Rutgers has a strong philosophy program. I am not a philosophy major but have taken several courses in the department as humanities requirements. This is what Rutgers’ philosophy has on its website.

<p>The Rutgers Philosophy Department is ranked among the top two departments in the U.S.A. and the very best in a number of subfields of Philosophy. We are especially active in interdisciplinary teaching and research and have developed close connections and collaborations with linguistics, psychology, computer science, physics, classics and other fields. An undergraduate student can take courses ranging from philosophy of quantum mechanics to the philosophy of literature. Our majors have gone on to successful careers in many fields including law, medicine, business, academics, journalism and science. Our PhD students have obtained positions teaching philosophy at many universities and colleges.

<p>They have research programs in History, Ethics and Values, Metaphysics, Epistemology, Philosophy of Language, Philosophy of Science, and Philosophy of Mind.</p>
