<p>Another option might be megabus. You can leave from either New Haven or Hartford, take megabus to Boston and then transfer to a bus from Boston to Burlington. Might be a bit inconvenient, but it’s much much cheaper than greyhound or amtrak. Plus, the buses don’t stop nearly as much, so the trip ends up being shorter anyway (though with the transfer I’m not sure). To get from Burlington to Midd, there are commuter buses, but these don’t always leave at the most convenient times. You can also schedule a ride with Midd Transit (I assume this still exists), but it’ll cost a bit. Taxi services will also take you between the two. Of course, best case scenario is that you know someone at Midd who has a car (or can get one) and is willing to pick you up.</p>
