Best schools with "State" in their name.

Yep - there are only 28 vet schools in the country, so it is naturally more competitive than med school.

Im going to NC State in their college of management, which nobody has mentioned. It’s a growing part of their university for sure

Virginia Tech…

(the full name is Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University… so it counts)

I think California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo is pretty good, as are California Polytechnic State University, Pomona. Perhaps a few other California “states,” but these two seem the least controversial.

CSU- San Luis Obispo is a good school. Ohio State and Penn State are other schools that come to mind.

cal poly shouldn’t even be a state school.

its better than half the UCs overall, and better than all in some areas (arch)

It’s better than all in some areas, but so is Long Beach (at Dance). It’s not better than half the UCs overall.

Subjectively speaking, I think Cal Poly is a much better undergraduate choice than UCSC, UC-Irvine, UC-Merced, and UC-Riverside(so, in effect, half of the UC’s overall)

Think what you will- it’s your ability.

I agree that Cal Poly is better than UCSC, Merced, and Riverside.

but… I don’t know about Irvine…

Yeah, the quality is so different between UCSC, UCR, and UCI. Only not!

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey <– official name

Penn State.

Penn State-This is such an easy one I dont know why there is even a question…;)

Penn State according to us news.

Mich State, Penn State, Florida State, Ohio State,Iowa State and Oklahoma State have some really great depts.

Washington State’s ok and Colorado State’s good for bio.

Yet another for NC State…

Cal Poly Slo is great!!!

Ohio State! Go Bucks!!
