^ me tooo!

i think there acceptance letter will be a 10 just because its an acceptance letter lol

University of Chicago’s acceptance letter was AMAZING. so nice. it talked about elevating ourselves together and how words and character are more important than numbers, etc.

i believe ivy letters will be very business like seeing as they have soo many to send out.

Stanford’s SCEA rejection letter had a typo. I meant to mail it back to them with the correction… t’would have been fun :)

Hookem, that quote just cracked me up. I’d love to know the actual words…but anyhow, thanks for the laugh.

I liked Pomona’s acceptance letter. It briefly discussed what they believe people should look for in choosing their college, and everything they mentioned resonated with me.

My acceptance letters to Wesleyan, Pitt and the University of Rochester were really good. My U of R had a paragraph in the letter that cited specific things I wrote in my supplement and Common app essays. Wesleyan’s acceptance came in a big black and red folder with a hand written card in it from a university student welcoming me. It also contained a window sticker. And I was accepted to the Pitt honors college…so about 3 days after my initial letter I got a T-shirt in the mail from them! Very Cool!

Seconding (thirding?) Chicago’s acceptance letter. It was short, but very well-written and talked about “the absolute joy of creative learning”–something like that. Duke’s was really practical, and Northwestern’s was kind of generic.

EMERSON!! the best they sent a really cool envelope and it was organized in the best way. they also sent a hat. the best hands down.

northeastern’s rejection letter was terrible. i didnt even get a letter. it was online and they were like yeah sorry…try again next year!!

vassar and johns hopkins had very short rejection letters, but i might have been spoiled by duke’s long and consoling one.
oberlin’s acceptance packet came in a large white envelope, and the letter was pretty standard. be warned though, when they award merit aid they count it in with the need-based, so it isnt actually anything extra.

Please, add Georgetown to the list of worst rejection letters. Completely cold, unfeeling and business-like. Bleh.

Northwestern’s waitlist letter looked like a rejection until i skipped to the middle and saw something about a waitlist.

I agree Georgetown’s rejection was only like 2 paragraphs long and seemed void of all emotion. So far Georgetown’s has been the worst and certainly least caring of my 3 rejections.

i got accepted to georgetown, but i still have to agree that it was the worst of all the letters i’ve gotten. it was like “congrats, now pay us your deposit” wait, they didn’t even say congratulations in the letter! and no exclamation points, of which i’m a fan. they make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside lol

Bryn Mawr’s acceptance letter was awesome. It came with a pin. :)

My niece went to Bryn Mawr, Claire. She absolutley loved it. I hope you get to go!

The Williams acceptance letter was pretty good, but it’s the big purple folder I can’t look at without smiling :)

Bates rejection really sucked. It implied that you had been rejected because you sucked. Really really bad and never wanted to go there at all.
