Stanford’s rejection letter is beast. Strangely, I like it more than I like Rice’s acceptance letter. It was so impersonal.

Boston College’s rejection letter was, much to my surprise, very kind; inspiring almost.
Hendrix was definately the best for acceptances! They sent me a thank you note for applying, filled my acceptance letter with glittery stars, and sent me peanut m&ms (my favorite candy) :)

Ahhh^ I wish my schools would do that!!! But they send acceptances to 10,000+ people so it probably itsn’t plausible

I would love to learn about Deep Springs’ acceptance or rejection letter. Anybody can help?

I hope they don’t send peanut M&M’s to everyone, since many people have peanut allergies.

Duke has a ridiculous rejection letter. I was so ****ed when I finished reading it.

LMU acceptance letter I don’t really remember. It was just an envelope with a paper saying like Congrats. I also received a 40,000 scholarship offer that didn’t come too fancy either. They didn’t really woo me.

I really liked USC’s acceptance letter the best. I just love the entire folder and everything. It didn’t definitely was like OMG!!! Claremont Mckenna online acceptance made me freakout, especially when I found out so many great applicants of my school didn’t get in. I also liked how they sent some magazine type stuff once you received the actual letter.

i hated UVA’s rejection letter. very short and not that sincere!

I HATED UCLA’s rejection letter. It was my number 1 choice and it was soo cold. I got over it when I got the USC package in the mail the next day.

Talk about good timing from SC right?

Boston College’s Wailist letter is terrible. It begins by talking about the competitive nature of the school and the value of your application to the school. It does not say “Congratulations” or even the ‘we regret to inform you’ part on the letter. Only halfway down do you realize that you were not rejected, but waitlisted.

i got rejected from UNC, my number 1 choice, and the rejection letter was horrible. unfortunately unlike you wowie, i didn’t get an acceptace the next day. in fact, i got another rejection.

this process has not been fun

Ah Yeah Loly, the process definitely isn’t fun. D-Day is April 1st for me though. I applied to ivy’s, which are way out of reach for me.

It will only be by some whim of hope I get into any of them. I am trying to be content with USC, Berkeley, and Claremont Mckenna, but rejection hurts no matter what! I know I have prepared myself for failure, but hell getting 5 rejection letters on April 1st doesn’t seem too appealing to me haha.

Amherst’s rejection letter was pretty pretentious, IMO. -_-

This is what i’ve got so far:

USC - big and flashy, nothing personal. what was exciting though was that they gave me the tracking number to a package. And it was my Trustee scholarship info - which was awesome.

NYU - big purple folder, REALLY SLEEK. Props to NYU for best design so far.

Wesleyan - early write, with little hand written exclamation next to the hand written signature at the bottom of the page, heartwarming. Also came with a bumpersticker and a bunch of useful information! The envelope has people jumping up in the air on the cover.

Vassar - comes in a close 2nd after NYU. It’s not very colorfol, but it is definitely sleek in a “traditional” way. Nice feel to it. Also comes with a big poster of the campus, so pretty.

UCSD - no package yet, just the letter on the portal admitting me. nothing special.

UCSC - better than UCSD, the package is really informative - brochures are well made.

UCLA - booo, peopl already talked about how evil UCLA’s rejection is - i agree.

UC Berkeley - also pretty bad, but not as bad as UCLA.

UChicago - waitlist- they don’t tell you until the end of the first paragraph which is annoying, because you are waiting to understand if you are in our out, turns out you are just waiting. They bothered to do it twice though - once online, once by paper.

To further my post about Amherst’s rejection letter… It was basically like…

“Dear KR:
We reviewed everything about you, but you’re not good enough for Amherst. But don’t worry… we think you’re going to be successful in the future because you were interested in Amherst.”

-_-

Pretentious, much?

The worst was:

“I am confident that your interest in Amherst is a significant reflection of your high aspirations and that those aspirations will serve you well in your collegiate experience and beyond.”

No, really?!

Edit: Oops. I posted the same thing as KR. LOL.

@QP
I’m glad someone else thought the same thing as I did. :)

Stanford had the nicest rejection letter :)
