Bumping this! The best written was probably Allegheny, but the one I appreciated most was certainly Bard (despite the fact that it came in a normal sense envelope, which made my heart beat pretty fast for a second). Bennington’s had the best sense of design (as all their literature has had so far).

Hey what about tufts? Can someone post the tufts acceptance letter. I’ve heard it’s quite nice too! :)

I loved USCs entire package

It wasn’t a rejection/acceptance, but NYU sent me a Christmas card…I thought that was awesome and makes me wish I could afford to go there!

NYU acceptance letter was really sweet
One of the best. Even UChicago’s was amazing!!

My daughter who was accepted EA from Northeastern got a birthday email (her birthday was in March) from her fellow Huskies with a picture of the NU Dog House. I thought it was a great marketing idea.

Mount Holyoke’s admission office handwrote a card. I thought it was really sweet.

This week when my D was sorting through all her admits to mail out the decline cards, out of the 8, Providence College was the only one to not include a return envelope. Really? How cheap can you be? I was kind of miffed at the no postage ones, but not even an envelope? Boston University and Fordham had very nice admit letters. Drew University had a nice one too, that included a handwritten card from an admission person referring to some of her EC’s on it, nice touch. I dislike the admit letters that come in thin envelopes like UVM sent out.

My son loved the UC San Diego Big “3-D” Envelope with the glasses and scratch/sniff patches on the folder, etc. It is so, so laid-back California. We contrasted that with the East Coast sophistication and elegance of the Boston College big envelope. Gold seals on the embossed stationery, etc. Perhaps the most amusing “big envelope”, however, arrived right in the middle of RD season from Transylvania University. I thought, “What, he was admitted to a university to which he never applied and can major in blood-letting?” Turned out to be a recruitment envelope from a clever marketing arm of a university that recognizes some kids might still need a choice and it’s not too late.

Reed’s confetti was a really welcome mess to clean up… But! Bennington just sent me a cookie. Like, a cookie. Major bonus points. Those were my two favorite in theory, but reading the Middlebury online acceptance was the most fun I had.

Oh, and Case Western deserves a mention for the personalization and free t-shirt… Yeah, I’m bought pretty easily :)

I liked USC’s admissions package because they sent an awesome certificate of acceptance!
U Richmond’s acceptance letter was pretty good too.

Reading all of these makes me crazy excited to apply to college next year!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH
:)

I loved the big “Congratulations” sticker on the Vanderbilt package I got in the mail. It was painful to wait (one of the few decisions that weren’t released online) but in the end so worth it.

Wellesley’s early evaluation “likely” message was exciting, even though I only got to see it online. What was really amazing was the handwritten note, the letter from a student, and the course catalog from last year :)

I was waitlisted from Syracuse’s Newhouse and finally got a rejection. It’s so depressing…but I can’t complain too much about the letter. It doesn’t sound as bad.

The Admissions Committee reviewed carefully your application for admission and accompanying credentials for the fall semester, 2012, under the Regular Decision plan. We appreciate your interest and regret that we will not be able to offer you admission to Syracuse University.

Candidates presented exceptionally impressive credentials, making admission highly competitive. The Admissions Committee considers every aspect of a student’s application including the strength of academic credentials, talent, experiences and personal qualities that each student would bring to our campus. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer many capable students a place in the entering class.

Thank you for your application to Syracuse University. Please accept our best wishes in your academic endeavors.

Sincerely,

Nancy M. Rothschild
Associate Dean of Admissions

The best one by far was UC San Diego’s 3D Colorful masterpiece.

I got accepted into CalPoly SLO off of waitlist with a GPA of 3.54 weighted, 1790 SAT, 720 US History SAT II, 4 AP’s.

Go Mustangs!

You are one of the people that asked one of these questions to Northwestern’s tour guides!

My friend got an acceptance letter that read, “I’m sorry to inform you that we are not able to reject your application.”
