Better Movie Characters: DC or Marvel?

THAT’S why D’s twitter blew up today with references to Civil War! I tell you, she’s about the geekiest thing I’ve ever seen when it comes to super heroes.

I just read a retweet from D: “BRB, scheduling an emergency meeting with my therapist because of the Captain America Civil War trailer.”

She’s having a rough day!

Of course, I am approaching saturation on the Marvelverse. There isn’t room in my life for six movies, six Netflix series, and three broadcast TV series a year with interlocking Marvel characters. I really have a hard time giving a crap whether Iron Man and Captain America like each other.

And . . . no one has said it yet, but I watched a couple episodes of Supergirl, and they were pretty entertaining.

Yes, we have mostly enjoyed a few episodes of super girl. Not too keen on the angst of her boss, but otherwise like it pretty well.

Sorry, for me Supergirl is a super-doze! Zzzzzz. Oh, I like the character well enough. DC comics did some great things in reviving Kara Lor-El a few years ago, but today’s TV character little resembles the dynamic reborn Supergirl of the comics.

By the way, for those who did not read the original story in Marvel Comics, the ‘Civil War’ plot line was very good and much more than ‘Cap and Iron Man don’t get along.’

DC or Marvel?

Pixar.

Does anyone else think the Batman vs Superman movie is the start of the Justice League?

This was the debate at our citywide Academic team meet yesterday and the overwhelming consensus was Marvel because they aren’t as dark as DC and have glimpses of humor throughout.
