This just in from the Johns Hopkins News (someone tell me how to italicize?), Hopkins top recruit, Berurah jr, has asked for a two week contract extension which was immediately granted by President William R. Brody. President Brody explained that since Jr was OOS, he thought it was the right thing to do. However, insiders say that the President promptly cancelled his appointments and fueld up the Gulfstream for a recruiting trip to flyover country. Meanwhile, Athletic Director that all Hodson Trust Scholarship winners will now box seats for lacrosse games added to their winnings, er, merit scholarships. Further, Head Lacrosse coach was heard to exclaim that he would rather the Hodson kids walk-on, instead of sitting on “their butts.” Coach said that kids “this good needed to be transecting angles to the goal, instead of watching the cheer squad.”

Dateline:

May 14…reflecting an unusual recruiting season, the VIP season tickets for the quarter-final round of the NCAA Lacrosse were all reclaimed by the ticket department, and provided to Hodson’s recruits. Immediately after the game, in which Hopkins trounced the Blue Devils, 14-4, President Brody had a signing ceremony at midfield.

Thus, Jr becomes Blue Jay and not Devil.

bluebayou!!! lolololololololol Sounds like a viable scenario, but you should SEE the recruiting (SERIOUSLY) that is going on here by the Duke adcom, whose son also happens to be an infectious disease freak! She just emailed again yesterday~on her day off!! She has been so incredibly attentive, kind and personal with my son that for reasons of her presence alone, Duke is appealing! Hmmmmmm…but you’ve given me a fabulous idea! Now I’m thinking about asking for that extension!!

according to a CG at a top prep school (acquaintance of ours), private schools routinely provide ~10 day extensions for kids far away so they have more time to visit and meet with profs.

btw: Suggest to the Duke adcom to put some money up in the equation…you know the old saw: money talks, BS walks… LOL
