<p>The Awards Ceremonies in Seattle were incredible! 2,900 people packed Benaroya Hall (with 800 people on the waiting list.) I could have sold 500-700 of my book if they’d allowed it (but I’m all out of books as it is!) There were very fine videos done for the event - here’s one about my mother!</p>

<p>Friends and relatives came from Cambodia, Japan, Massachusetts, South Carolina. My kids flew in from Princeton and Washington, DC. There were so many events. A group of Indian professionals organized a fundraising dinner which sold out quickly and was attended by more than 200 - they even commissioned a Bharatnatyam dance drama based on my mother’s life. I got to introduce at some 10 events, including three college and universities, and Microsoft. She also got to speak at a Habitat for Humanity fundraiser.</p>
<p>Well, now she says she is raising an “army of compassion” - and I am commander-in-chief - I’m only supposed to end homelessness in India and Seattle. :o I lack the courage for the task, though I do have some measure of resourcefulness. ;)</p>
<p>In three weeks, it is off to Stockholm!</p>
