<p>The men’s swim team was suspended for an alcohol violation in 2006. The details were not made public except to say that alcohol was involved (and it was implied that hazing was involved). This doesn’t come close to what’s going on at Williams. </p>
<p>Whatever happened, the Middlebury coach, with the support of the administration, dealt with the problem swiftly and harshly by not allowing the team to participate at the NESCAC championships, which were held at Middlebury. </p>
