Truth Smoker: “In real SAT’s the curve for the practice test, which was easier than this one, was 5 wrong = 800.” Woops, 75 = 800 was the curve. Anyway, I don’t actually own the REAL SAT book. I was just getting that from what TruthSmoker and others had said about it on this thread. Whatever year it was given, it was easier than this test, according to TruthSmoker, and it was also a lot harder than I had heard from friends who had already taken it in past years. And I’d rather give myself some false hope right now than be realistic, so I’m still guessing better than 75 = 800 :-).

in the real SAT subject tests book, all the way down to 73 = 800

A 73=800 curve would be REALLY REALLY nice, and based on the skull question alone, I think we deserve that sort of curve!

for the influenza kilobase one, i got 1000, which is supposedly the confirmed answer, but i know a lot of smart people who got 10,000. why is it 1000?

It’s 1,000 because the bases were in KILObases. So 1,800,000 bases divided by 175 (or something) was 1000.

wow, very lucky guess then ^_^

Does anyone remember the other choices for the white blood cells question? I think I put A, but I might have read it too quickly - not sure if that was leukocytes or not.

So no one’s going with my carrying capacity theory? Can someone at leat tell me why it’s completely wrong and why I should just go shoot myself for not knowing anything about biology?

Bacterial colonies are very small and 80 colonies is probably way below carrying capacity.

it was definitely leukocytes.

So leukocytes was A? What did ppl get for the density-dependent population limiting factor?

Disease? 10 ****ing char

mhmm, disease

What about the Q that asked about the IAA in the different plants. It asked how you could determine if IAA was the factor that contributed to growth?

er…can you specify on that? I remember that set of questions but I’m not sure which particular one you are talking about.

what about the type of reaction one, i got endergonic (sp?)

I put endergonic.

What would probably be my score if I left 4 blank and assuming I missed 10?

The IAA question I’m asking about was the last question in that set. It asked how you could confirm that IAA influenced growth by looking at the data. The choices were like IV grew faster than III, they all grew at the same time, etc.

BTW, I put endergonic as well.

Does someone want to cp the old list and put all the new answers on it? I think we’re up to 40-50 questions answered.

just wondering what does 10 char mean?
