<p>In this interdisciplinary concentration, which draws on the combined resources of Chicagos departments of chemistry, biochemistry, and molecular biology, students have the opportunity to study the chemistry and physics of macromolecules, mechanisms of actions of enzymes and hormones, molecular and cellular biology, biotechnology, and related fields. The program is designed to prepare students to enter a variety of interdisciplinary fields in biochemical and biophysical sciences.</p>
<p>The program encourages substantive research projects and offers an honors option. Also offered: a combined B.A./M.S. degree in biochemistry and molecular biology.</p>
