Good I ONLY need a 3…
I’m going to community college, I got accepted into a better school but I couldn’t afford it (my parents didn’t wanna pay and I’ve been under alot of stress…parents’ marital problems)so I became depressed and am on medication :(. Really depressing and I couldn’t study and I completely gave up on AP classes because I didn’t think they’d matter at CC until I found out recently that they CAN help me out with getting out of classes :D.

never seen a cc guy on cc…

I studied plants out of cliffs today. What should I review next? Animal Form/Function or Reproduction? And then I’m thinking I should go back over Respiration/Photosynthesis and DNA/Meiosis/Mitosis?

I do fine with the general material on the MC (aside from plants [must review that]). It’s the labs that really get to me -_- I just cant seem to understand any of the ones we did this year (with the majority of them not working/something going wrong [ex: firedrill during 3 of them] or us skipping them completely)

Any good lab review sites? :o

^pH school. just type it into google =P

the kaplan review for sat II bio had a great mnemonic for the hormones that are secreted by the anterior pituitary (the only one that really has more than one or two)

these are the hormones secreted by the anterior pituitary: FLAT PIG:
FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone)
LH (Luteinizing Hormone)
ACTH (Adrenocorticotropic Hormone)
TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone)

Prolactin
(Ignore)
Growth Hormone

love it ^thehulk88

and for those worrying about labs check out this great site: [AP Biology Lab Review](http://www.ekcsk12.org/faculty/jbuckley/aplabreview/index.htm)

thank you very much hulk (for the link that is) :]
As for the test, the curve is somewhat generous. Everyone here will be just fine.

ah thank you so much :D

I had initially planned to take the exam on the alternative date, but due to fortunate accommodations, I will be taking it Monday – in addition to two other exams. Good luck to everyone.

Is the MC raw score multiplied 1.1, 1.2 or what?

I’m glad you consider the scheduling of three APs on the same day “fortunate” accommodation :). lol, I seriously thought two are bad enough.

How difficult is the practice test in CliffsAP Biology 2nd Edition? I only did the multiple choice portion, and I got approximately 85 points. With the FRQ, I should be able to make a 5 for this practice test, according to its rubric. Is the practice test in this edition generally tougher than the AP Biology exams? It felt more difficult, but it was quite easy at the same time: I did review loads of stuff.

Indeed. I prefer AP testing to class attendance so I take great delight in my exemption from the latter. :)

does anyone know what a chi square is? supposedly it was an frq a few years ago and it may show up again
i know it has to do with like statistics or something, but none of the review books really go into much depth about it

can someone provide an internet link that explains how to do chi square questions
please

dont worry about Chi-square.

i dont think they will test that in the AP BIO test, since I have never seen it in a prep book

we ddid chi square in AP Bio class this year, but i still think its not tested…

anyone who has looked at past FRQ can confirm this?

loll… srry forgot to read ur post…

ok… should take 10 minutes to learn it.

its reallly really EASY
