do CAM plants use bundle sheaths as well or is that only C4 plants?

and oxidative phosphorylation occurs because electrons flow down the electron transport chain or? i still don’t get that… gah but i get the questions but not how to explain it.

^^Only C4 Plants.

You have to remember that the curve Universe is giving only accounts for tests with 120 questions.

For those questions that are 100 questions, the formula is

MC = [MC - 1/4 wrong] x .90
FRQ = FRQ score (cumulative) x 1.5

Only C4, CAM differ from C3 plants because they open their stomata at night.

^^ Also note: you need at least 90+ points to get a 5.

My friend went through the entire Campbell’s book.

Makes feel me like crap.

lol i highly doubt he retained much…

^ Knowing her, she probably didn’t. But still, I feel like I haven’t even been trying.

I just want to make one point…AP Biology in my opinion is a class you have to take, not self study, so anyone cramming, you really don’t deserve to pass from studying a week in advance. :)

“you really don’t deserve to pass from studying a week in advance.”
^ … unless you took the class. You can take the class with an honest effort and still do bad without reviewing. But somebody like me, who took the class with effort, and have been reviewing for the past week or so, does deserve to pass.

Although Ive taken the class, I consider myself a self studier because my teacher sucks. I just took a Barrons practice test and got 82 correct 7 wrong and skipped 11. This is after reading the Barrons book once over over a span of two weeks.

Body temperature can be increased by all of the following EXCEPT:
A. muscle contraction
B. drinking alcohol, which results in vasodilation
C. increasing metabolic activity
D. puffing up feather or hair
E. reducing blood flow to ears

I’ve taken the class too. It’s just that we haven’t covered everything in class. And it is so much to retain.

^ D?

@Bordeaux: B.

^^^B.

I don’t know if it’s just me. I just don’t feel like studying anymore.

B.

I don’t know if it’s a correct reason or not, but isn’t it because alcohol is a depressant?

just because enzymes are denatured doesn’t mean a reaction won’t occur. Enzymes lower activation energy, but they don’t MAKE reactions happen. They just speed them up. Thus, in their absence, reactions are slower.

I would answer B.

I really don’t know how to feel about this test…I always hate predicting how well I’ll do because I might get my hopes up and be totally wrong (although, I’ve always made subconscious predictions on each test and been right, I just don’t trust my own predictions.)

Vasodilation in general decreases body temperature because the walls of the vessels dilate, therefore more surface area for heat exchange.
