Yo mitosis, I’m really happy for you, and I’mma let you finish dividing, but meiosis is the best cell division of all time. OF ALL TIME! (and it feels better) :D

Hey ok so I think I did well on the MC portion, but I am extremely worried about the FRQs. I studied all the wrong things for it, and actually skipped like part B, C, and C of three of them. Is it still possible to pull at least a 3 if I get a few points for a semi decent answer to the parts I answer and do ok on the MC? I used that calculator, and according to it you could earn as low as like a 5 or 6 on the FRQs in total and still pass the exam.

The multiple choice was decent, but I struggled a little with the FRQs. I was actually able to do the first one (except for part c) and some of the third one. The second one was alright I guess, and the fourth one was terrible. Terrible. Pretty sure I can pull a 4, but I don’t think I did well enough on the MC (~65-70) to get a 5.

haha is anyone googling or using textbook to search all MC’s you were iffy on?
im getting so frsutrated on finding out the ones that i erased were the right ones!!! grrr

Am i the only one that thinks that the test free response and MC was way to much on ecology (animal behavior)? i feel like macromolecules monomers (IMHO one of the most important things in biology) wasnt represented in there at all, neither was protein syntheses. For the last free response we went over the subject for 3 minutes a week ago. Having this been my first AP exam, I dont think this was a good representation of my biology class at all, and now im worried for WHAP.

^agreed on things being underrepresented lol
but I mean it’s BIOLOGY hahaha the study of life…there are a MILLION and one topics and content that could appear on the test…that’s why it kinds sucks taking it because you never know what could show up or in what form hahaha
I was a little mad that some of the stuff I slaved over wasn’t on there a lot but I was happy with FRQ except for the first one lol
I couldn’t remember specifics haha so I think I got like 2 points on that one…but like 10 on 2 and 3 and like half (5-6) on the last one : P

and how can y’all remember all the ones you weren’t sure about??? I guess there were too many for me to remember lol
I didn’t google anything because I’ve forgotten all the questions now haha in an attempt to clear my brain to hope I fail the chem tomorrow hahaha

Does anyone know if a good multiple choice score can offset a really crappy FRQ score and help me get a passing grade? I skipped three parts on three of the questions because I blanked out one trying to figure out an answer.

I did pretty well on the MC . I skipped 14 just because some of them seemed like they had two correct answers . But I’m pretty confident in the ones that I did answer . And the FRQs were pretty easy . The first one was the hardest . I probably got a 4 maximum on that one . The second one was amazingly easy . I think I got a 9 or 10 on that one . The third one was pretty easy as well . But I don’t think I did a part correctly and I forgot to include an important detail . I still think I got a 5 or 6 on it though . And the last one was common sense and was what I was praying for . I think I got about an 8 or 9 on that one . Overall , I’m confident ! I think I got a high 4 or a 5 .

This was my first AP test , so I was flipping out last night because I thought I would fail . But after taking it , I now realize that I was overreacting .

I was shocked by the lack of that as well… really bugged me since I spent quite a bit of time studying that.

Are you kidding me on that last part? That MC was super easy in comparison to the cliff’s MC.

The first FRQ was the only hard one for me (I would be happy with a 3). The other 3 I felt rather good about, probably got atleast a 6 or 7 on those

agreed!!! I posted that earlier in this 75 page thread LOL
I was really hoping for more cell respiration and photo as well
But I DID know the few that were on there hahaha
I just wanted more of them! lol

My teacher did not prepare me for this test at all, I can tell you guys that I made your scores look better. For number 1 extended response I answered it in haikus because I had no clue. And I quote “biology tests/staying up till 2 AM/just to score a 1”. But to compensate, I totally owned that AP History one. (And my school forces me to take the AP exams, dont tell me it was a waste of money, I already know.)

Like many other posters, I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of Plant material on the FRQ’s but unpleasantly surprised by the first FRQ. I think the two almost cancelled each other out.

Does anyone else think that part 2 on question 3 of the FRQ was weird. I thought I knew where I was going and then I looked at the table they gave and it did not match up. So does anyone think that #3 part 2 was tricky?
