Have you thought about USNA or USCGA? Its free… and they have your program…

If you step out side the North East, I would say consider U Miami, Rollins, College of Charleston and Eckerd for Private or Florida State, you major in Bio w a marine Bio concentration, and UNC-Wilmington.

In the North East, other than what you have mentioned how U of New Haven?

Some have mentioned UFlorida, they do not offer Marine Bio.

Not a big deal, I think. UF offers a zoology major and extensive research in marine science. I would certainly recommend it over many weaker programs dedicated to marine biology.

Correct. This is something I stress a lot. Duke’s marine lab (highly recommended :)), Sea Semester, Woods Hole MBL, and others accept students for a semester or two.

Additionally, you have a lot of opportunities for funded summer research – REU programs, internships at Mount Desert Island, internships at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, internships with the Fish & Wildlife Service, etc.

BU has a good Marine Science program. It is in the northeast. Expensive though!
