teriwitt, a pale peachy-beige is warm and neutral. That’s what’s going in our hallway.

My kitchen (black granite/white cabinets/stainless steel app) and den are connected as almost one big room. My paint is this taupe color and it really looks good, and would go well with charcoal (IMO): [Shop for Behr Ultra 8 Oz.
She didn’t really go for the pale, peachy beige idea for more than a couple of minutes. She seems to be stuck with the greys, or a new color I learned, greige (grey-beige). She sort of likes the taupe (we found an equivalent on the Benjamin Moore website), but now is leaning toward the color I painted her old bedroom at home after we turned it into a guest room:

She says she’s seen it on a wall and knows she likes it!

Teriwtt-This will look rather cool blue/gray. We painted much of our interior a similar color a while ago and then discovered that during our long, cloudy winters, it was not a happy color.
So: where will this be? Will the environment be darkish and cold for any length of time?

HaHaHa… Boston; and we already had that discussion! Her tastes definitely run in the cool colors, though.

Although the condo is smallish (900 sq. ft.), it does have a lot of windows and two doors that open to the outside (a deck and a fire escape). The pictures I’ve seen actually show lots of light coming in the rooms. And she does have the glossy oak floors which will provide a bit of a shine and brighten things up.

The Benjamin Moore Wedgwood Grey looks really pretty. Another BM color I’ve seen used on the gardenweb kitchen forum is Revere Pewter. It’s a soft neutral grey with less blue than Wedgwood.

Congrats on the condo! When I put in hardwood floors, I repainted with my fav, BM Cameo white. Personally, I find the greys hard to live with.
