<p>I just bought the Vitamix from Costco. It can make nut butters from scratch. It can also make soup. </p>
<p>Now if it can also make me lose weight then it’s well worth the money I spent. :p</p>
<p>I do have a concern, the jar is made out of some new fangled plastic - copolyester. I hate anything plastic in my food containers. The polycarbonate from Nalgene nearly cause me to have major surgery (estrogen analogs released -BPA).</p>
<p>Most mixers use polycarbonate except for Oster (glass) I think, so Vitamix is probably a bit better for me.</p>
