Even though these schools are in blue states, several are in conservative areas. Ft. Lewis, for example, is in the reddest part of Colorado (with Boebert as their congressional rep, although not for long). It’s in a beautiful part of the state, but very hard to get to and not urban. It is considered an LAC.
U of Md-Eastern Shore is on the more conservative eastern shore. Frostburg State is a long way from Baltimore.
Is ABET certification necessary for biomed? (I really don’t know) It is a definite for civil engineering, but many fields do not require the grads to take a PE (or FE or SE) exam and some schools like Stanford are dropping their ABET certifications because they find they aren’t needed for grads in some engineering majors.

That is a good point. I have no idea. I’ll have her ask this summer.

Please remember that this thread is not in the politics forum. Might I “suggest” that users who have the unfounded need to pass judgment on the OP or responders for their views on abortion kindly familiarize themselves with the forum rules which are linked on the bottom of this, and every, page.

Thanks mod! When we do this next year (after trimming the list) - I’ll be sure to put liberal colleges/states preferred. Didn’t mean to upset people. I was using my daughter’s phrasing and didn’t think much of it.
