<p>I’m not BME or engineering at all for that matter, though I do know a bunch of them. I do know, however, that you can definitely got a lot of research experience here; there are many professors willing to let you work in their labs.</p>
<p>As for the premed thing… it depends entirely on your own abilities, but it will probably be harder to maintain a high GPA as an engineer. There are a lot of clinical and volunteering opportunities, especially through Community Outreach. Most of them are not on campus, but for the ones that are run through Community Outreach, transportation is provided.</p>
