I called the financial aid office and they said they have been dealing with this all morning. They said it was a mistake that it was sent and that everyone should have received the follow up email, but they have realized that some people did not receive the “it was a mistake” email. The woman on the phone said that most likely you should not have to worry, but she took down my 900 number and said she would follow up. If I don’t receive a call everything is fine, and if I do something is wrong.
She said to check the VCCCD site in a couple hours because it is down for maintenance. As long as your account says you have a zero balance you are in the clear.
